Résumé Dr. Stefan Wolff

Dr. Stefan Wolff has been chairman of the supervisory board at 4flow since 2020. From 2000, he was CEO of 4flow, a leading provider of supply chain consulting, software and services that was co-founded by Dr. Wolff in Berlin, Germany.

From 1994 until 2000, Dr. Wolff worked in various roles with an international supply chain consulting company, ultimately as a partner and vice CEO. In this position, he was also responsible for establishing the U.S. subsidiary in Boston, MA.

Since 1990, Dr. Wolff has worked as a consultant to large and midsize companies in the field of supply chain management. From 1989 until 1994, he was a research associate with Professor Dr. Helmut Baumgarten, Logistics Department, Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin).

Dr. Wolff was initially an associate lecturer and then adjunct professor at Jacobs University Bremen from 2010 to 2019 and served as an associate lecturer at TU Berlin from 1998 to 2015. He also served as a member of the board of the German logistics association BVL. Dr. Wolff is a founding member of the Roundtable Germany, Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). From 2018 to 2020, he was a member of the supervisory board at Lufthansa Cargo.

In 1994, he received a Ph.D. with distinction in engineering on the topic of IT systems in lead time management, from the Technical University of Berlin. His doctoral thesis received the German Science Award of Logistics from BVL in 1994 and the Konrad Mellerowicz Prize in 1995. From 1984 to 1989, he studied industrial engineering at the TU Berlin, with a focus on mechanical engineering and logistics.

Dr. Wolff is the author of numerous works published in books, journals and periodicals. Moreover, he is regularly invited to speak at conferences, workshops, seminars, and universities.
